Founded by Tonny Kaagaard Olsen and Martin Wibe Kristensen in 2021, Crateit’s journey began in Odense, where a shared passion for making a difference brought Tonny and Martin together during our studies in Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Tonny’s mother dedicated her life to working with people with developmental disabilities, and Martin has a sister-in-law with a chromosomal disorder. These personal experiences instilled a deep empathy and a commitment to social responsibility. This is evident through Crateit’s ethos of working with specialist production units in Denmark that employee people who have faced various challenges, including disabilities. Everyone at Crateit® has a place.

Crateit's toys are all designed and produced in Denmark using wood from suppliers who are FSC certified. When wood is FSC certified, it is made with care for both nature and the people who work in forestry.
